Brits and Tea

We found a really nice breakfast spot in Hiroshima, the receipt had
this written on the back:

"Brits love their tea. It is said that the bachelors dream is to
marry a girl who brings tea to his bedside every morning.
Once married, however, it's typically the husband who ends up
bringing in the tea each morning."

Somewhat surreal.

Room with a View

One of the buildings on the Kaneyama-en complex has a peaceful tatami
mat building where you can sign your name in guest books. There are
piles of guest books going back years so you can rifle through them
looking for your prior entries. I was happy with the exposure of this
one without using flash. ISO400 f3.5 1/40 hand held.

After the Fireworks in Kaneyama-en

A hearty helping of smoke from some hand held fireworks created a nice
opportunity for this shot. ISO 1000, f/4.8, 1/30 hand held. Loving the
18-200 so far.

Just love it when hotel mirrors do this.
